Structural and magnetic properties of ball-milled powders of (Fe<sub>1−x</sub>Mn<sub>x</sub>)<sub>75</sub>P<sub>15</sub>C<sub>10</sub> met-glass

This paper reports on the structural and magnetic properties of a ball-milled powder sample (Fe1−xMnx)75P15C10 (x = 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3) mixed metallic amorphous ribbons. X-ray diffraction patterns as-made samples demonstrate phase transition from to nanocrystalline structure having tetragonal (P) type structure. Field emission scanning electron microscopic micrographs show that particles form presumably due stress relaxation upon ball milling The observed transformation changed properties, e.g., significant enhancement in coercive field leading hardness, are attributed controlled Mn substitution this alloy system, which is novelty research work.
